UK-based Trig Avionics has become part of The Dynon Group following a strategic investment by Dynon Avionics.

Trig, well known for its compact transponders and radios, was founded in 2004. Its products are widely used across General Aviation, from light aircraft to helicopters and gliders.

The acquisition marks a formal strengthening of an already close relationship between the two companies. Trig has long supplied Dynon with private-labelled transceivers and transponders that integrate with Dynon’s SkyView and Advanced panels.

With the companies now under one umbrella, integration of their product lines is expected to deepen.

Leadership at The Dynon Group will also see changes. Brad Thurow, previously Vice President of Engineering at Dynon, steps into the role of President, succeeding Robert Hamilton, who now takes on the position of Chief Operating Officer. Thurow joined Dynon four years ago as part of a planned succession strategy.
