Helicentre launches 2026 Helicopter Pilot Scholarship

Helicentre Aviation Academy has announced its 2026 Helicopter Pilot Scholarship programme, the 14th year the academy has offered such an opportunity.

Helicentre Aviation will award a full Commercial Pilot (CPL(H)) Scholarship, with a value of £65,000.

The CPL(H) Scholarship will cover the cost of post-PPL(H) hour building, the ATPL(H) theoretical knowledge course and the complete CPL(H) modular flying course including a total of up to approximately 150 hours flight time in a Guimbal Cabri G2.

“Our Scholarship programme has been extremely successful, providing winners with much-needed funding in order to complete their professional training,” said Helicentre chairman Chris Line.

“It has also proved to be instrumental in identifying extreme talent, not just in the winning candidates but also in the overall high calibre of applicants.

“The programme has enabled us to provide numerous students with an array of career opportunities including working for Helicentre as charter pilots, as well as Line Pilots on our numerous utility contracts.

Anyone wishing to apply for the scholarship opportunity should ensure they have submitted their application and enrolled on Helicentre Aviation Academy’s Private Pilot’s Licence (H) course before 31 January 2026.

Applicants must complete their PPL(H) course by 31 July 2026.
